Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was spent in Annapolis this year.  We started off with a typical dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant…

There was lots of wine drinking cooking and lots of shoesDSC02515_DSC0082DSC02550DSC02523John had the honor of dropping the turkey into the deep fryer…_DSC0087… and the guys took their turkey frying job very seriously (aka they stood around and drank beer and watched the fryer for a while making sure to let John know when it was time to pull it out).

DSC02537Mom had a beautiful table which Dylan found quite suitable for a pre-dinner serenade.

And two more shots of our handsome little men.  They make us so proud.

Renaissance Festival

I have such fun memories of going to the Renaissance Festival when I was a kid.  Face painting, hair flowers, mud wrestlers, jousting.  We were so excited to take the boys for the first time this year and I think they really enjoyed it too (minus the face painting, hair flowers and mud wrestlers… but don’t fear – there was jousting!).  Half the time you can’t tell if the people you’re talking to actually work there or just dressed up like that to visit!

The biggest score of the entire day: we finally FINALLY FINALLY found a knight helmet with “a face mask that goes up and down” for Sean.  Let me tell you, we’ve been searching high and low for this for over a year (since he was a knight for Halloween 2012) and it’s next to impossible to find.  You can tell by the overwhelming excitement in his face how happy he was to find it. I just tell myself the he was smiling ear to ear when the mask was down ;)

Oh.  And Dylan got to hold a goose.  Isn’t this totally Dylan’s style?  He’ll try anything once.

Lord help us.

So Grown Up

Sean’s fall Preschool pictures are absolutely adorable.  How this photographer can get him to laugh so hard I’ll never know.  I can’t decide which one I like best so I’m posting them all!

Random October iPhone Pictures

Halloween tattoos // Silly glasses from Aunt Michelle (oh, they were meant for the boys?) // making pizza // silly noses // Sean’s Fall Festival where we went thru a corn maze and on a tractor ride // watching movies in sleeping bags // silly Daddy wearing Mommy’s stocking on his ears (yeah – this one is even more strange after typing it out ;)

Reading back over what I just wrote I realize I wrote the word ‘silly’ 3 times.  Guess this was our silly month!

Halloween 2013

We do love some Halloween in this house.  Unfortunately Dylan was pretty sick this year but that didn’t stop him from going with us up and down the street to fill our bags.  The boys had their costumes planned out months in advance and continued to wear them well into September.  Sean was Optimus Prime (leader of the Autobots and fierce enemy of the Decepticons) and Dylan was is Superman.

DSC02400DSC02402We all know that Sean’s had a big noggin since birth.  Case in point – his mask was supposed to go down around his face but wouldn’t fit and kept getting stuck on his nose, pulling it up like a little piggy.  I laugh every time I look at this picture.DSC02408DSC02418DSC02426Home relaxing on the couch with their candy…DSC02436DSC02437And one more breathing treatment before bed.  This kid was one tough little guy.DSC02438
