Marvel Universe

We surprised the boys with tickets to see Marvel Universe Live uptown at the arena in Charlotte.  Although it was fun for them to see all the characters, I realized that we’re not quite sure who all the Avengers are… they kept waiting to see Superman and Batman (who, as it turns out, are not Avengers).  It seems that I still have a lot to learn about “boy stuff” but I’m doing my best…  never in a million years would I have believed you if you told me I’d be sitting at a Marvel Universe Live show! haha

A New Roof

We had a pretty bad hail storm back around Memorial Day that left many homes in our neighborhood needing new roofs and air-conditioning units (isn’t that crazy?!).  So to make the most of our situation, we also decided to change the roof color to something a little lighter (we originally selected charcoal).  I’m really happy with the change but I’m pretty sure our contractors think I’m crazy because I was more excited about the color change than the actual roof replacement.  Sometimes, girls will be girls I guess!

Grandma’s Visit (and Birthday!)

Grandma came for a quick visit for so she could see one of Sean’s t-ball practices.  It was just a few days before her birthday so we were also able to get in some cake, candles, singing and presents, too!!

Halloween 2014!!

The boys have had their costumes picked out for months and definitely tried them on a few times prior to Halloween night.  Sean is really into the Lego Ninja cartoons so he wanted to be a black ninja with a sword.  Dylan is thrilled to be Superman (again)!  John took them trick-or-treating while Polly (the bat) and I stayed home to hand out candy and scare the kids on the porch.

Sean and Dylan were very into Halloween this year so we added a lot of decorations, especially outside.  They wanted ghosts in the trees, gravestones in the flowerbed and a scary orange tree for the front porch.  John and I really had fun with them this year!

School Spirit Week

The boys had school spirit week where they dressed up as cowboys and in their Halloween shirts. What fun!

Pop Pop & GG Visit

Pop Pop and GG came down for a weekend visit to catch one of Sean’s t-ball games.  We also went to cute far a little south of us that had pumpkins, a corn maze, tractor ride and petting zoo.

Michelle & Paul’s Wedding Shower

Mike, Gale and Katie hosted Michelle and Paul’s wedding shower at their home and it was so much fun!  There were so many family members and friends that came to show their love and support for the two of them – it was such a nice day.
