This past weekend was a lot of fun. We had to get Sean a big boy car seat because he's reached the weight max on his current one (gasp! - I know.... 22 pounds already). He still has to face backwards until he's 1 year which is a bummer but I can't wait for our Ward beach vacation in August - it will be his first trip facing forward :) Sean has been laughing all the time. He seems to have a similar sense of humor as I do... he likes it when I'm silly with him and dance around in the kitchen (an old habit from childhood, right mom?), hide in the pantry and run after Polly. He also really likes watching John dance around like Elvis ;) I truly enjoy being with him, I guess it's just fun to have someone else in the family, someone you don't have to try to impress, someone that laughs at your jokes, someone to enjoy the simple things in life with... or who reminds you to enjoy those simple things. I think I'm in love.

We're going to have some fun trying to tame this hair!
Action shot - playing outside over the weekend:
And so it starts.... :)
I just LOVE this little man - he already has such a good sense of humor!
(and yes, I know the stains on the high chair are gross, don't worry, I cleaned it this weekend!)

Some new video posts

This was taken a few weeks ago. Sean loves to bounce to the music while watching all of his pictures on the Apple TV. Notice how he stops bouncing when the song ends and starts again when a new song starts :)

I'm glad I got a video of this next one because Sean's already gotten too big to sit in the laundry basket (he's learned how to flip out!). For a while we would put him there while we got ready in the morning, all the while he'd sing to us. It's funny how fast things come and go at this age.

Finally, we took this yesterday. I found a great swing for Sean at BJs - I think he likes it a lot better than the toddler swing we got with the set. I'm so happy he enjoys being outside and playing.... I think we're going to have a great summer :)

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. Our community had an easter egg hunt complete with pony rides and a petting zoo. Sean wasn't sure quite what to think about everything and of course studied everything and everyone with furrowed brows :)
(you know it's killing me that my pictures are left and center justified in this post...I'm just not in the mood to figure it out tonight!)

What r U lookin at?

Ummmm Dad... he's not going to eat me is he?
Check out the teeth on this guy!
Sean especially liked the yellow sparkle egg... hmmm....
Easter baskets (including one for Polly!)

Plastic eggs are delicious :)Easter dinner at our neighbor's house. Sean really likes Josh, Marissa and MadelineUh oh - I smell trouble!!!!

Singing Again

It seems that these days, Sean will do something over and over for about a week then it disappears (Flipper, blowing raspberries, clicking his tongue, etc.). "Singing" was one of them... I haven't heard him sing in at least a month. So you can imagine my delight when he dusted off the golden pipes last weekend and started singing again! I can just see it now - the Ward Family Band with John on guitar, Corinne on piano and Sean as lead vocalist. Maybe we can strap a tambourine on Polly? :)

6 1/2 Month Pictures

Sean got his 6 month (technically almost 7 months because I wanted to wait until he could sit pretty well on his own) pictures today. He wore a beautiful outfit from Grandma Leigh. We couldn't help but take some pictures of him when we got home.... just can't wait for the professional ones!

I heart my bouncer

The Wacky Wards

Last weekend was so much fun! The Ward clan (Gus, Leigh, Marshall, Megan & Michelle) came down for a quick trip. Sean loved seeing his Aunts and Uncle and Grandma Leigh and Grandaddy. Us "kids" went out Saturday night while Sean stayed home with his grandparents. It was so nice to get out although I have to admit that my 6:45 alarm (uh, I mean Sean) was difficult. Now I know why we go to bed early, even on the weekends :)

Updates

So I just realized that Sean's 6 month "birthday" came and went and I never posted! I guess this is what happens when you go back to work, get in a routine and life happens. Sean has been doing great, he's learning to sit on his own, eats lots of stage 2 foods (bananas, oranges, apricots, applesauce, you get the picture) and weighs 19 pounds. He loves his jumper, looking at himself and Mommy & Daddy in the mirror, "talking" to Polly and bath time. He started sleeping through the night again and actually seems to be going to be a bit earlier every night (right now he sleeps about 8:45 - 6:45 which to us is fabulous!). I've noticed that he's starting to get a little clingy but for now I kinda like it....ssshhhh don't tell anyone ;) He are some recent pictures:

Best friends (why oh why is her tongue always out??)

Happy 30th and 40th!

Typical Sean face :)

Does it get any cuter?

6 months old!

Wouldn't you like to take a nap like that during the day??

I thought I'd take a quick video today. Nothing fancy!
