Having two boys less than 2 years apart is definitely exhausting, but in the best ways. As they continue to grow up we hope that they remain best friends, no matter what life throws their way. It’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship…

Sean the T-ball Player
Sean is officially on his first sports team, The Calvary Lions! He is learning to play T-ball this fall and can’t be happier. He has a uniform, cleats, a baseball hat AND glove. Life doesn’t get much better. But wait – it does. His best friend Michael is also on his team! Their little brothers (Dylan and Shaun) are honorary members and run the bases before and after practice with the big kids. John and Tim (Michael’s dad) help in the outfield and some nights during practice so it’s been fun for the whole family! Sean winds up like a pitcher every.single.time he throws the ball so who knows – maybe we’ll have a pitcher in the family?

A Wedding BBQ for Michelle and Paul
Let the wedding festivities begin! Paul and Michelle will be getting married in April and we can’t wait. We went to Richmond for a BBQ at Gus and Leigh’s house to meet most of the bridal party as well as Paul’s mom, Marilyn. It was really nice to get to meet their friends and family and we just can’t wait for the wedding!

Random August Pictures
Polly Prissy Pants
Just some random pics of Polly that I thought would be worth posting. She’s a member of the family, too, for better or worse :)

Dylan’s Big Boy Bed
Now that Dylan has gotten the hang of going potty, it’s finally time for him to get a big boy bed! I didn’t get very good pictures of this because he was so excited and we hardly had time to put sheets on before it was bedtime. But he loves it and feels very special that he has a bigger bed than Sean (it’s pretty hard to upstage a bunk bed!).

First Day of School
The boys are both in the same school this year which is very exciting for both of them. Sean is in TK (Transitional Kindergarten) 5 days a week and Dylan has started the Inventor class 3 days a week. The camera could hardly capture the excitement on their first day!
Look at Sean standing just like his Daddy…

Sean’s 5th Birthday
We celebrated Sean’s birthday pretty much the entire month of August. First at the beach, then at his party at My Gym and then on his actual birthday. He was lucky that Grandma, Grandaddy and GG were all down at some point to celebrate with him. What fun!
Look at Polly in this pick. Being loved by Grandma while sitting on Grandaddy’s head. What a ninny.
