Happy Thanksgiving

We were lucky this year and took off Thanksgiving week. We headed up to Richmond and then Chesapeake to celebrate and visit John's family. We spent a few days with Grandma and Grandaddy - John and Gus had fun golfing and shooting while Leigh, Sean and I took a few trips to the park for some swinging and wagon rides. Then it was off for Thanksgiving dinner in Chesapeake... the food was so good and of course, we all ate too much!

Visit from Pop Pop and GG

Sean's Pop Pop and GG came to visit last weekend. They hadn't seen Sean since his birthday (GASP!) so he kept them busy showing off all of his new tricks (walking, talking, throwing his cup on the floor all.the.time!). We took a boat ride, went out to dinner and played outside. We had a great time!!

Halloween Part II

Sean officially went trick-or-treating for Halloween this year. He got a whole Snickers bar and seemed pretty happy with it (he actually wouldn't let it go so by the time we got home it was melted inside the package!). We were still a little limited this year since he's just starting to walk but I'm sure next year he'll really be on the move :)

Community Halloween Party

We just got back from our community Halloween party. I can't believe it, but Sean wore his costume the whole time! He was just adorable, I couldn't help but post the pictures tonight :) He won 'Funniest Costume' in the 1-2 year-old category. All of the "older" kids were rooting 'Mon-Key, Mon-Key!!' hahaha

Finally!

I'm so glad I came home early from work yesterday to see this. I think Sean is practicing so he can show off for his Dad tonight when he gets home :)

Pumpkins!

Well it's finally that time of year again! We had a good time today picking out our pumpkins (although I have to say I could deal with the weather being a bit cooler!). Sean was pretty quite in typical Sean fashion... he had his serious face on most of the time :)

Snyder Visit

Jeff and Elise came to visit this past weekend - we had such a good time! We went shopping, watched college football, visited with Tam, Josh and Hayley (Hayely is the cutest!), and took the boat out. I think by Sunday night we were exhausted (Sean slept until 9:15 Monday morning) but unfortunately for the Snyders they were out of our house at 4:30 in the morning to catch flights to London and Denver. Yikes!! It's weekends like these when you wish your closest friends were closer. I'm scoping out homes in south Charlotte just in case they get the itch to move ;)

What a Difference a Year Makes

It's truly amazing how much has changed in a year. The first picture below is one I took of John and Sean watching one of Sean's first football games. I remember thinking then how much things had changed... John's football watching days would never be the same! But now, looking at the second picture below that I took a few days ago, it doesn't seem like so much of a shock :) Sean's found his place in the house and is right at home sitting on the sofa watching football with Dad.

Grandma Leigh

Grandma Leigh came to visit last weekend. She and Sean held down the fort Saturday evening while John and I went out on a fantastic date night! Sean was busy all weekend showing Grandma all of the new things he can do - especially how he can play the piano :)

Looking Out the Window

One of Sean's new favorite things to do is look out the windows downstairs. It just so happens that the height of the windowsill is perfect for him to pull up and stand.

Weekend Fun

We had a fun weekend - Sean got to meet baby Grant (who is 3 weeks old.... we didn't get a picture but he was adorable!) and play with baby Julia (they played so well together, it was so cute). Then we took Polly out on the boat for a nice Sunday afternoon ride. We threw her in a few times which was pretty funny.

Beach Vacation 2010

Here are some pictures from our beach vacation to Ocean Isle. We had such a great time - the beach was beautiful and the house was awesome. It's always so hard to sum up a trip in just a few pictures - there's so many good ones! Sean really enjoyed the beach (he loved eating sand and seashells) and his birthday party was a hit! Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, presents and party :)

1 Year Old!

Well I can't believe our baby is actually a year old. What a year! Sean has really started growing into a fun and loveable little guy and I honestly can't imagine our lives without him. Here's to many, many more birthday celebrations to come. We Love You!

Our New Toy

Well John's hopes and dreams have finally come true. I'm proud to say that we're boat owners! John has been looking for the perfect boat for, it's safe to say, about 6 years. Finally this little beauty came along.... we're SO excited. Sean test drove with us this weekend and seemed to especially love going fast :)
