The Wacky Wards

Last weekend was so much fun! The Ward clan (Gus, Leigh, Marshall, Megan & Michelle) came down for a quick trip. Sean loved seeing his Aunts and Uncle and Grandma Leigh and Grandaddy. Us "kids" went out Saturday night while Sean stayed home with his grandparents. It was so nice to get out although I have to admit that my 6:45 alarm (uh, I mean Sean) was difficult. Now I know why we go to bed early, even on the weekends :)

Updates

So I just realized that Sean's 6 month "birthday" came and went and I never posted! I guess this is what happens when you go back to work, get in a routine and life happens. Sean has been doing great, he's learning to sit on his own, eats lots of stage 2 foods (bananas, oranges, apricots, applesauce, you get the picture) and weighs 19 pounds. He loves his jumper, looking at himself and Mommy & Daddy in the mirror, "talking" to Polly and bath time. He started sleeping through the night again and actually seems to be going to be a bit earlier every night (right now he sleeps about 8:45 - 6:45 which to us is fabulous!). I've noticed that he's starting to get a little clingy but for now I kinda like it....ssshhhh don't tell anyone ;) He are some recent pictures:

Best friends (why oh why is her tongue always out??)

Happy 30th and 40th!

Typical Sean face :)

Does it get any cuter?

6 months old!

Wouldn't you like to take a nap like that during the day??

Family Weekend

Well, I'm officially 29 for the first time again! My parents and Carolyn and Mats have been in town this weekend to celebrate my birthday and Carolyn's 40th. John scheduled a personal chef to come to the house Saturday night which was the best gift ever. Sean could hang out with us, eat when he was hungry and go to bed when he was tired. Oh- and we didn't have to do any dishes :) F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!

We're Officially Teething!

It's been a busy week for Sean - BOTH of his bottom teeth popped through! He had a few rough days but seems to be getting used to his new teeth. Our baby is growing up right before our eyes (sniffle sniffle)....

Flipper

Sean has started doing this funny squeal ALL.... THE.... TIME! We call him Flipper... sounds like he can call dolphins from across the globe. His volumne in this video is about a 5 but trust me, he's normally around a 9 or 10 :)

Tonight Sean realized that he can really splash around with his legs in the tub. It's funny though because his serious face still doesn't match the excitement of his body. Hopefully soon his smile will catch up! haha

Sean's Journey

I've been meaning to put this together for quite a while. It's pretty cool to see all these pictures together. What an amazing journey....and it's just the beginning!!

Christmas in Charlotte

Since we'll be traveling for Christmas, we decided to have our Christmas in Charlotte this past weekend. Originally, it was going to be Saturday but as inexperienced new parents we didn't start early enough and had a very tired, cranky baby before the festivities began. So, we started early on Sunday evening and were able to get through everything before Sean's bedtime!
I wanted to give a quick shout out to baby Sean - yesterday he learned how to roll from his back to his stomach. Look out ladies and gentlemen.... we have a mobile baby on our hands!!

A Visit to Santa

Emily and I took Sean and Julia to see Santa today. They both did so well, they were pretty much awake and didn't cry!

This is what happens after all the Santa excitement:

Sean's Rolling Over!!

John had a bet with me that Sean would be rolling over by the end of the week. Looks like he won!
